Glitter and Glue: A Memoir by Kelly Corrigan
Kelly Corrigan is in search of life’s big adventures, much to the dismay of her “by the book” mother.  She sets off to Australia and when she runs out of money she becomes a nanny.  Thousands of miles away, taking care of a family herself, she finally starts to realize her mother’s perspective.  Glitter and Glue is a sincere, heartfelt, and humorous look at mother- daughter relationships and the ties that bind us to our family.  For fans of Cheryl Strayed’s Wild

The Bear by Claire Cameron
Inspired by real life events in Canada’s Algonquin Park,  two small children must fend for themselves in the wilderness after a bear attack.  Narrated by five year old Anna, this page turning survival story will both terrify and inspire you.  For fans of Emma Donoghue’s Room

Mercy Snow by Tiffany Baker
Set in the paper mill town of Titan Falls, New Hampshire this atmospheric and lyrical novel follows the lives of two intertwined families, the MacAllisters and the Snows.  As the wife of mill owner, Cal, June MacAllister is the privileged first lady of Titan Falls who will do almost anything to protect her picture perfect life.  Mercy Snow is a scrappy and resourceful young woman who will do what it takes to protect her older brother Zeke and her younger sister Hannah.  For better or worse, secrets and lies bind these two families together and it takes a tragedy for the truth to come to light.  This is a page-turner with a few unexpected twists and turns but also has a lot of heart.  You will fall in love with Mercy Snow and her family.  For fans of Jodi Picoult

The Accident by Chris Pavone
A dangerous manuscript has made its way to literary agent Isabel Reed.  This manuscript, a biography of a powerful media mogul, has the potential to be a blockbuster that will end careers and topple corporations.  It can also end lives.  One by one, each person who has come in contact with the manuscript finds themselves in grave danger.  On the run with her trusted friend and editor, Jeffery Fielder, Isabel must find a way to protect herself and the manuscript.  A gripping and stylish thriller that will keep you guessing. Also highly recommend Pavone’s first novel, The Expats.  For fans of John Grisham and David Baldacci
